KAAGNY continues to fulfill the goal of Americans of Korean descent to play their rightful role in the mainstream American society. On June 18, KAAGNY was successful in recommending two outstanding individuals, Ju Young Kim and Yoo Jin Jeong, to the Mayor Bloomberg’s re-election campaign headquarter.
They will learn first hand the running of a New York City mayoral campaign and will be involved in re-electing Mayor Bloomberg who has been a great friend to our community. Cultivating our outstanding young human resources to fulfill their true potential is one of KAAGNY’s most important missions.
These two individuals will play an instrumental role in getting Mayor Bloomberg’s message out to our community. We are grateful that these young individuals were accepted into the campaign and we hope they too will serve as a bridge between the Mayor’s office and the Korean American community. KAAGNY will seek to develop such relationships with other important legal, commercial, and non-profit organizations of New York City in order to give our young Americans of Korean descent an opportunity to serve in a meaningful internship programs.
