5 talented young Korean Americans, Sang Young Song, Sara Chung, Hyung Seo Chung, Nara Han, and Woo Yun Hwang were selected for 2009 Internship Program with the Republic of Korea.  They were given a unique opportunity to revisit Korea and experience how the government of Korea functions.

There were 60 applicants for these 5 positions. 55 other applicants were by no means less qualified, only the number of the available positions determined the cut. KAAGNY understands the need and want for such exchange internship programs by the Americans of Korean descent.

The summer internship program ran from August 3 ~ August 28. The applicants were judged by their bilingual ability, computer skills, and spirit of their volunteerism. The selected applicants will have a precious opportunity to experience Korea not as a visitor, but as a young working person. The friendship and networking established during their service will be invaluable in their young professional lives. KAAGNY in partnership with the City of Seoul will continue these internship programs. The next planned program is set for fall in October and we look forward to another group of find interns.
