The last trial for Yoojung Choi and Ha Young Lee was held on September 16th. According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), their deportation has officially been exempted. They have reported to the judge that they would not appeal against the judgment.

As a result, Yoojung Choi and Ha Young Lee have been exempted from being deported back to Korea, and when Bong Chang Lee receives the U.S. citizenship in 4-5 years they will be able to acquire green cards. On December 16th, Ha Young Lee will attend a trial and apply for a departure, which the approval has been decided by the district attorney. She needs to return to Korea in 120 days and receive an immigration visa as the daughter of Bong Chang Lee from the U.S. consulate. She will be able to return back to the States as a green card holder. We would once again like to thank the Korean American Community members and media for your support.
