The Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY) and
the Korean Community China met on May 10th 2010 to discuss the
growth and development of the two communities.
The Korean Community China members represented the nearly 800,000 Korean
businesses currently in operation in China. As a non-profit, private
organization, the Korean Community China acts as a spokesperson in
attempts to generate unity and harmony within the community.
During this meeting, the two groups discussed possible ways to
facilitate a financial bond through mutual cooperation for the
betterment of both communities. KAAGNY President,
Yong Hwa Ha discussed
the difficulties and limitations faced by the organization in having
more of a presence in New York (and to a larger extent, America). In
communicating such difficulties, the Korean Community China brought up
the potential of forming a financial bond between the two organizations
so that each may support the other in moving forward and expanding their
reach.
