Information: The second information session from NYS Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) on the regulations for restaurant business owners in the Korean American community was held by KAAGNY. Elliott Marcus, the associate commissioner, director Beth Torin, and instructor Jong Won Kim from NYS DOHMH explained about the new inspection regulations and HACCP laws. KAAGNY distributed the Korean version of HACCP.
"I'm glad to distribute HACCP in Korean. Just by knowing the HACCP regulations and new laws of NYS DOHMH, you can avoid receiving tickets," declared President Yong Hwa Ha. He also hoped that "Korean American restaurant businesses do not experience problems regarding tickets anymore."
"During the past 25 years of running a restaurant business, I sometimes didn't even know why I received a ticket. Today's information session was very helpful in understanding these issues," said a Korean American restaurant owner.
